FOS Community Meeting with City Planner

Friends of Saxonville (FOS) is honored to have Sarkis Sarkisian, the City’s Director of Planning and Community Development, as our speaker at the FOS 2025 Annual Community Meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We will convene at Open Spirit at 39 Edwards Street in Saxonville, behind the Mary Stapleton Elementary School. The meeting is open to all who are interested in the future of Saxonville. Refreshments and an opportunity for mingling will begin at 6:30 pm, with the formal meeting agenda starting at 7:00 pm.

Mr. Sarkisian’s remarks will focus on the City’s development priorities for Saxonville and the initiatives that the City has and will be undertaking to ensure the future vitality of the village. He will address public infrastructure improvement, updated Saxonville zoning, potential housing initiatives, historic preservation, local economic development, and more.

Ten years ago, in 2014, Framingham’s Economic Development Investment Corporation funded a Villages Study for Saxonville and Nobscot that created a Master Plan for both villages. The study engaged local leaders and department heads, as well as a diverse group of residents and businesses to identify local needs and opportunities. Their findings and recommendations are summarized in a final report published in September 2015.
